I've had my flat rented out using Bramptons since 2012 and whilst they were not the cheapest, I was happy with the service they provided. Since this agency has been under the guise of Romans the competency of the staff has seemingly plummeted. Contractors working upon the property have been either overcharging me or not carried out work which has been billed for and then requires further repairs again on the next months statement, and the months after and the one after that. Invoices aren't sent, random deductions are allocated on to my statement and I have to repeatedly ask for proof of work being carried out of which I rarely receive. The en-suite toilet has had nearly 400 worth of "repairs" in the last 12 months. There is no oversight to these works being carried out, recently whilst I was out of the country I was charged almost 400 for three square meters of lino to be replaced. Two minutes on google and the phone got me a quote from a local carpet and flooring fitter for 150. Confronting Romans with these overinflated prices just gets indifference or lame excuses. Gas safety services and checks have been billed for but not carried out, two CO alarms were replaced during this years gas safety check and charged for at almost 150 - just the alarms, the safety cert was billed separately... It is a long list of complaints and no one at Romans seems to have any inclination about carrying out any oversight of my property. Since the change to Romans I don't know if the problems have been cause be either to good employees leaving for other work or that the remaining staff have become severely overworked, most emails I write are answered immediately with an out of office reply. Either way, as soon as the current tenant leaves I'll be moving agency - I don't wish to be to be lining Romans and their contractors pockets any more.Edit to add (07/11/18) I've just been billed another 122.40 for toilet flush repairs. So that's five repairs to the en-suite toilet in 12 months. No notification that the work needed doing, just an invoice. Called at 1255h to discuss this but just get an out of office answerphone message.
What a really good estate agents to deal with. I must mention Sam a really good salesman and very professional in his job nothing too much trouble it was a pleasure knowing you were in safe hands with Romans
For the last 3 years I have been a client of Romans Gerrards Cross, formerly Bramptons, responsible for the tenancy of my property. The changeover to Romans was not easy but thanks to Richard Frost it was fairly smooth. Richard has taken great care to ensure that my tenants are always the kind I look for. In any agency with a large and frequently changing staff, continuity is particularly important and Richard has provided this, plus personal attention to my wishes. I commend him for his professionalism, efficiency and attention to detail. He also replies quickly to messages and follows them up immediately, a rare quality and one I appreciate a lot.
The whole team at Romans made our experience of renting our first property together a seamless and hassle-free experience. Approachable, knowledgeable and pro-active from viewing to move-in (and beyond!), we have felt totally looked after and couldn't have asked for better service. Thank you!
Excellent professional service provided by Jamie and his team, from start to finish. They made my house purchase a reality. I thoroughly recommend their service. Thank you!
